CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION

 

Queens Place Emera Centre Outdoor Pool is envisaged as a June-September community hub enabling fitness and recreation for all ages in a safe, accessible, inclusive and durable new facility. The design supports regional swimming competitions, community leisure swims, warm water therapy, and will be a lovely spot to bring the family on a hot summer day.  We envision the facility to be a popular spot for both locals and visitors to Liverpool, enhancing the local culture and economy.

This vision will be reached through the creation of a vibrant outdoor courtyard at the southern corner of the Queens Place Emera Centre Property. The courtyard is framed on the west (along Queens Place Drive) by a pavilion for changerooms, lifeguards’ offices and services. On the north the courtyard is contained by a covered breezeway connecting the pavilion to the main building. The southern edge of the courtyard features the leisure pool, therapy pool and landscaped gathering areas. At the centre of the courtyard is the 6-lane, 25-metre regional-competition pool.
